W elcome to Marian Nelson Equestrian, located in Petaluma, California on the grounds of the Sonoma Horse Park show facility. We have been training horses and riders in the hunter, jumper and equitation disciplines for over 45 years! We offer a broad range of services including coaching high-level riders on the 'A' circuit, training amateur and junior riders who want to enjoy their horses and sharpen their riding skills, and teaching lessons to beginners who are just starting their horse-back riding adventure. We also host a competitive IEA team that welcomes high school and middle school students of all levels of riding who are interested in becoming part of an equestrian team.

ABOUT US
Head trainer Marian Nelson has been training and coaching children, juniors, and adults in California for over 45 years. She takes great pride in stressing safety as well as horsemanship skills. Marian’s teaching philosophy includes developing a solid equitation background to give riders the fundamental skills that form the foundation for success in all riding disciplines. Her students have earned championships at top shows throughout the West Coast.
